A Young Feminist's Project. What IS The All Girl Army?

A blogger collective of no more than 29 women between the ages of 10 and 25, who identify as feminist chosen via an application process based on their desire to create and nurture women's community, explore feminist issues and their own lives in context via writing and discussion.

An umbrella collective of women of all ages, working to help support, mentor and strengthen young women and girls and their relationships with each other, to bridge gaps between older feminists and younger feminists, and to provide and enjoy women-centered space.

A network of resources, projects and support intended to empower young women and girls, however they define their own feminism, and to support them in proactively exploring feminism and women's issues both through their own unique lens and experiences, and via the collective lenses and experiences of other women.

An advocacy organization which considers feminism and the rights, equality, connectivity and empowerment of all women a vital and inarguable necessity.

What's our goal?

To increase visibility and self-representation of young women: of their/your lives, ideas, goals, achievements and struggles: to counteract lookism and the media's representation of young women with real voices, unscripted words and real lives.

A pop culture site that plays for your team. Founded in 2002 by Sarah Warn, AfterEllen.com has become the leading entertainment site for and about lesbian and bisexual women, with news, reviews, interviews and commentary on lesbian and bisexual women in TV, movies, music and more. In June 2005, AfterEllen.com was acquired by MTV Networks' Logo.

A series of gender-neutral and empowering coloring books by Jacinta Bunnell. Including titles: Sometimes The Spoon Runs Away With Another Spoon, Girls Are Not Chicks, and Girls Will Be Boys Will Be Girls.

The Lesbian News has the distinction and responsibility of being the nation's longest running lesbian publication. Founded in 1974 in Southern California, the LN began as the lone voice for lesbian issues. Today, after 37 years, the LN is still the nation's foremost voice for lesbians of all ages.

The Lesbian News is the vehicle for the experience of women's art, music, literature, films and history. We have premiered women's films which would not have otherwise been seen. We have reviewed women's literature and music which would not have found an audience and we have financially supported workshops and fundraisers that could not have been successful without us. With informative current articles such as safe sex and STD'S, the truth about political matters which impact us, such as same-sex adoptions and discrimination in the workplace, no other magazine in the world is as targeted directly to the lesbian community or as much a leader in supporting lesbian issues as the Lesbian News. We are, not only, a magazine published for and about lesbians, but also by lesbians.
